The compact, high-speed TM-T88VII receipt printer is very attractive at the POS in retail, catering and hospitality in practically any situation. Its maximum print speed is an impressive 500 mm per second. Converted, this equals half a meter per second, and if you also extrapolate, it even achieves up to 1.8 km per hour. This makes it the ideal partner for work areas with especially high print volumes or above-average customer traffic. The print resolution (or dot density) of the TM-T88VII is also nothing to take lightly: it amounts to a consistently good 180 x 180 dpi (dots per inch).For simple, uncomplicated, and above all, fast integration and installation, the TM-T88VII has a large customisable interface selection. This also ensures interference-free data transfer and partially ensures the printer's power supply. Its interfaces include: USB 2.0 Type A and USB 2.0 Type B, as well as NFC and Ethernet (100 Base-TX / 10 Base-T). Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n is also optionally available. Plus, the TM-T88VII relies on several functions that make the printer easier to use, enhance print results and expand deployment options, including ePOs Print, ePOS Display, ePOS Device and Server Direct Print. The structure and design of the TM-T88VII have been carefully thought through by Epson and adapted to years of experience. The result is a compact printer for nearly any POS that is easy to store yet looks good at the same time. Its dimensions are a mere 145 x 195 x 148 mm (W x D x H) with a low weight of only 1.7 kg. This allows the printer to be installed either vertically or horizontally, depending on the requirement. It is even suitable for wall mounting via the optional wall bracket. Moreover, the printer's compact design and low weight also allow it to be moved quickly from one POS location to another.

The TM-T88VII is also stylish, since its housing is available in either black or white. Thereby, it integrates even better into existing POS areas and creates an all-round harmonious overall look. Epson has also made it resistant to external influences so that it also withstands a lot: the printer easily withstands humidity of 10 to 90 percent and temperatures of 5 to 45 °C during operation or -10 to +50 °C during storage are no challenge for it.

Additionally, the TM-T88VII impresses with high reliability and an even longer life cycle of up to 20 million lines or 360,000 hours of operation. Its integrated auto cutter is designed for up to 3 million cuts and its robust print head supports up to 200 km.

The TM-T88VII is equipped with various sensors that make it much easier for the user to monitor the current printer status. One of the sensors, for example, is responsible for the approaching paper end and reacts as soon as there is only a certain amount of paper left in the feed tray. Another sensor for the actual end of paper signals as soon as all the paper has been used up and there is no more to print on. A third sensor activates when the printer cover is open and holds back new print jobs until the cover is closed again – ideal for trouble-free maintenance work or paper changes.
